With Silver Strike 2009, the Silver Strike sweepstakes will be revamped. There will be 10 weekly winners who will each win $100 cash, and each month a player will win the grand prize. Now every month there will be 30 or more cash winners and one mega-winner.
Silver Strike Bowling 2009 will also introduce a new promotional mode of play called Survivor mode, where players compete in an eliminator type competition to see who can keep their strikes going the longest. Silver Strike Bowling 2009 will include a new Red Pin Bonus feature, where players can win free games. Through the operator-enabled Red Pin Bonus feature, any player who plays an unregistered game will have a chance to bowl a series of strikes for a free game. Also new will be Throwdown Bracket Play, which allows even a casual game to be turned into a contest or tournament. The mode is designed for 4, 8, and 16 players, and makes leagues and player run contests extremely simple.
